How do I set this problem up in Ax+By=C format? Thanks!?
Just subtract 2y from both sides of both equations.

4x-2y= 9


4x-2y= -4





You just must put one unknown on other side of "=" and change its + to - ; or - to +.





I have done this:





4x=2y+9 ==%26gt; 4x (stay on its place) - 2y (we have put 2y from right side of "=" to its left side and have changed + to -) = 9 (stay on its place).


We have done the same thing with other one...
