Your blower motor resistor has failed, you can purchase this part at the dealer. The resistor allows the blower motor to run at different speeds as selected by your HVAC controls.
Reply:It has to be the switch, and yes call your local dealer.
Reply:The most likely problem is that blower resistor is "blown".

Is is attached to a hole in the AC/Heater box behind the glove compartment.

It costs around $25 at your autostore, and is an easy change. 1 plug and 2 screws.

Reply:It's the resistor for the blower motor. Your local GM dealer can get them if not in stock.
Reply:Sounds like it maybe your blower motor resistor. Pretty commom thing to go out on any car. It's also difficult to replace compared to the switch. Which usually doesn't go out.
Reply:Jh is correct the blower resistor has failed Ive ran into this problem many times on Gm and Chrysler. Not disrespecting Jh he or she is correct. But the main problem lies in the blower motor itself it's building up to much resistance on the hvac system resulting in blower resistor failure. Best thing to do is replace both the blower motor and resistor. Should be the only thing wrong, unless the cabin air filter is also clogged replaced it also. Good luck happy Ac Ing
