How to install programs when i don't have the set up and installation stuff on the disc?

I have some programs on C.D. with out set up etc and want to install them for use on my p.c. Help?

ALL I DO IS GO TO MY COMPUTER AND SEE THE DISC THEN OPEN THE FILE USUALLY THERE IS A RUN OR SETUP

Reply:It is difficult because many programs write stuff to the registry.. so you cant just copy the files into a directory..
Reply:try searching for them online. 1st use google, enter the name of yr sware, see what comes up. u cud also try tucows.com, (v. good supplier of sware, tho mainly shareware stuff). also contact supplier of yr sware, tell em dog chewed yr disk or something! :)
