Reply:We're in the year 2008 AD. BC years count downward (10-9-8-7-6, etc.). The dividing line is BC/AD. So, we've 2008yrs. plus 44 more years. Get it?

Reply:I believe there is supposed to be a difference of 40 years between 1BC and 1 AD. If you count that, it should be 2092 years back.


It needs to be confirmed.


Another factor is a concept of zero year between 1 BC and 1 AD. This will add one year, so to be accurate, if not 40 years, at least one year needs to be added. Then it becomes 2053 years.
