How do I set up a 501(c) with the IRS?
Call the taxpayer services and request the section that handles this. Once you get an agent there you find informative, request him or her each time you call -- they give their identification numbers at the outset of taking a call. Reading material is quite helpful, but there is nothing quite like talking to a live person, many of whom at the IRS take their jobs quite seriously... I know -- I used to be one.
