Collectible teapots are valuable usually from 1900 or earlier, except for American folk art sets. Collectible old Dragon-ware is from China not Japan. Collectible names of teapots are Limoges,Shelly,Majolica,Copland-Spode to name a few. I collect teapots and bought a reference book @ Barns %26amp; Noble called Antique Trader Teapots price guide by Kyle Husfloen. It has been invaluable to me especially when I go to auctions. Depending on the size of your set it would run about $50 to $80.Hang on to it for your grandchildren, it can only increase with time.
Reply:dragon ware is made in japan from the early 1900's to the 70's. If it says nippon, it is pre 1922. nippon is japanese characters for 'japan'. Report It

Reply:I haven't a clue, but you might check with a jeweler that sells fine china or check with someone in your area who deals with second-hand housewares. Have you tried a simple Web search for Nippon?
